Project Summary
Melco Engineering were engaged by the Thiess Sedgman Joint Venture to undertake the supply, manufacture and installation of components in conjunction with the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) at the Sonoma Coal Mine inclusive of the train load out bin & bridge, conveyors, coal valves and ROM.
Melco project managers worked closely with the client to monitor and report on project process in respect of key deliverables and execute effective management of emergent works.
Various standards complied with throughout the execution included but was not limited to AS1554.1, AS4100 and various surface treatment standards.
The Melco scope included fabrication, assembly, transport and site installation of the newly designed various components and encompassed 20,000 labour hours. Works completed throughout the scope implementation included plate, piping, structural and mechanical installations.
